Jamaica Rector (born August 10, 1981 in Celeste, Texas) is an American and Canadian football wide receiver for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. He was signed by the National Football League's Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2005. He played college football at Northwest Missouri State.
Rector has also played for the Arizona Cardinals.
During the early 2006 NFL season, Rector was the team's primary punt returner. He was the team's fourth receiver. Jamaica was waived by the Cowboys on October 23, 2006 when the Cowboys signed defensive back Marcus Coleman. The Dallas Cowboys did re-sign him to their practice squad. He was cut again on August 26, 2007. Rector was signed to the Arizona Cardinals practice squad on October 10. He was promoted to the active roster on December 1. He was later waived on August 30, 2008. He played his high school football at Celeste, Texas which is a 1A school in North Texas, he was a two way all state both his junior and senior year and was also a standout in track.
